What to expect when you book a wedding package?
Planning a wedding is a big task, and I'm here to help you every step of the way. Below, you can find a sample timeline of what the wedding timeline will look like when you book your photography coverage with me.
1) reaching out for a custom quote
You've explored your options. You've established a list of potential photographers. You're eager to learn more about Stories by Cindy and how I can help you to capture your day for you and your family. The first step of the process is reaching out for a custom quote for your big day. I suggest that this is done at least 6 months to a year in advance, once you have your wedding date set! Popular dates can fill up fast, especially weekends in the spring and summer months.
2) Video/Phone call to discuss your coverage options
Once you've received your custom quote and have decided that you would like to proceed with me for wedding coverage, you/your SO and I will meet virtually to discuss any questions or comments you may have about your big day! During this session, we will discuss details you have so far, your wedding venue, and take next steps to confirm venue-features (including event insurance, etc.).
3) Placing retainer to secure your big day
This is the first step to "retaining", or reserving your photography coverage for your big day! After reviewing the contract together, I will request that you place a retainer for your big day. This is usually $500 and non-refundable. Please see your customized contract for details regarding payment and payment plans. The entirety of the coverage payments must be paid in full no later than two weeks before the date of the wedding (no exceptions).
4) Video calls during the planning process
The wedding date is getting closer and closer! During this process, we will meet again approximately 1-2 more times (and more, if needed!) before the wedding. Once you have your DJ/emcee booked and timeline ready to go, we will go over each step and I will outline what to expect on the big day. We'll figure out when to fit in family photos, requested shot lists, bride/groom portraits, etc. to ensure that your day goes smoothly and worry-free!
5) complimentary engagement shoot
For anything Wedding Edit 02 (8 hours) and up, you will receive a complimentary engagement shoot for your wedding package! The purpose of this is to not only give you and yours a unique experience and photos to look back on/use for "Save the dates", but also to get you comfortable in front of my camera. This is a time for us to get to know each other before your big day -- truly a valuable experience to have before entrusting me to photograph some of your biggest moments! *Time and location at our discussed discretion.
6) wedding day.
Okay, we made it!! It's your wedding day! Enjoy your big day and live in the moment while leaving the photos to me! Need I say more? :) You can trust me to have my gear all charged, to arrive at your venue early, to ensure your photos are backed up and secure with me, and that you'll receive sneak peeks and BTS of your day (and night) when you wake up the next day. Here's to your forever!
7) Gallery delivery.
The moment you've been waiting for -- your photos are READY! Your fully-edited, high resolution photos will be delivered to you via email through PicTime galleries. I'll include instructions on how to download, "like", and share photos! Gallery delivery depends on the coverage selected, but photos are generally available 2-4 weeks after your wedding (according to contract). This is the time for you to ask for photo album add-ons, etc.! Enjoy your photos and be sure to leave a testimonial/review so others can enjoy similar photography coverage as well! I had so much fun working with you and it's not goodbye, but see you later for future life events.
